AVONSIDE GROUP, the UK’s largest Roofing contractor, has made further investments to strengthen the management capability within its ranks.
Sam Tebbs has been recruited to the group as a management trainee. He will gain exposure to all elements of the business during his training, which will then allow him to support the business and ultimately fast track him to fulfil a management role within the company.
Sam, 23, is a psychology graduate, who, after two years in comprehensive school teaching and year head roles, was looking for a career challenge to achieve his full potential. He was recruited to Avonside following an intensive qualifying process.
In his leisure time, Sam plays rugby union at a competitive standard for Derby RFC 1st XV and has recently bought his first home with his partner.
Starting his new role, Sam commented: “I’m delighted to have secured such an important position with a forward-thinking organisation like Avonside, and it allows me to continue family connections within the roofing industry.”
Avonside Group Chief Executive Officer, Tony Burke said: “We are delighted that Sam has elected to take up this opportunity. It is important to us that we develop more of our management talent from within the company and we are all very excited about this initiative. We think it highlights a planned and progressive approach for the business.”
