RAVAGO BUILDING SOLUTIONS’ BRE Green Guide Rating A+ extruded polystyrene (XPS) thermal insulation boards were used during a revamp of Boden House, home of fashion giant Boden.
The new inverted flat roof includes 1,000m2 of Ravatherm XPS X 300 SL in 80mm and 120mm thicknesses.
Ravatherm XPS 300 SL was launched in 2016 as the next generation of XPS thermal insulation, specially designed for inverted roof applications.
It was the first XPS insulation board to attain BRE Green Guide Rating A+ for roofing and recent improvements to the product formulation mean the shiplapped edged boards have a declared lambda of 0.030 or 0.031.
Richard Powell, Roofing Sales Manager, Ravago Building Solutions, said: “The transformation of Boden’s UK headquarters is a first-class example of how to retrofit an aging building.
“The 1960s office block now boasts vibrant and open working spaces and the building envelope has benefited from major improvements including thermal performance.
“Ravatherm XPS X was deployed in the creation of the new inverted flat roof and we’re delighted that Ravago Building Solution was able to play a part in this visionary project.”
New Ravatherm XPS X name

Ravatherm XPS X is the new name for the UK’s best-performing range of grey boards for roofs and floors, all with exceptional lambda values.
