A 12-YEAR-OLD boy was rushed to hospital on Sunday (23 June) after he fell through the roof of Parr Swimming and Fitness Centre in St Helens, Merseyside.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 6.20pm when three young people were spotted on the roof of the swimming baths. It was around this time that the young boy fell through the roof.
The Centre’s roof is made up of numerous levels and roof types, but the main roof is a built up felt roof with protruding rooflights. It is thought that the rooflights are where the boy fell.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “The child has been taken to hospital in a serious condition where his injuries will be assessed. Enquires are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
