DACH+HOLZ Tradeshow Rescheduled for the Summer

Yung roofers on competition podium - DACH+HOLZ Rescheduled

DACH+HOLZ International 2022 has rescheduled its tradeshow to take place on 5-8th July, 2022 in Cologne after being postponed last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We are looking forward to the summer edition of DACH+HOLZ International. Together with our exhibitors, associations and partners, we will ensure an extremely exciting programme with a strong experience-based approach,” said Robert Schuster, DACH+HOLZ International trade fair director.

DACH+HOLZ Rescheduled

DACH+HOLZ International attracts many of the key players in the European-wide roofing industry. Alternating between venues in Stuttgart and Cologne, the trade fair last took place in 2020, attracting over 50,000 visitors across the four-day show.

Sharing the event with the timber industry, at the last show there were over 600 exhibitors showcasing the latest products and technology.

At this year’s event, as well as show stands, there is forum focusing on different key topics each day. While young talent, influencers and business owners will share their ideas about the future of their trades on 5 July, the forum will put the spotlight on the influential women in the roofing and carpentry trades and their success stories on 6 July. On the Thursday of the trade fair, on 7 July, the presentations and discussions will centre on technology, digitalisation and innovations in the sector. Topics related to wood as a building material and the future of construction will be in focus on Friday 8 July, when experts will explain the opportunities and risks of climate change for individual businesses in the trades, and how the consequences can be managed.

Practical tips and successful examples from the trade sector round off the forum programme. In addition, DACH+HOLZ International invites visitors to a big networking evening on Thursday 7 July.

Interactive Show

The ZVDH (central association of German roofers) joint stand with BG BAU (statutory construction insurance), and Holzbau Deutschland (association of German carpenters) will also offer a lot of interaction. Here, with a live construction site including a building, scaffolding and crane, visitors can experience the world of occupational health and safety first hand. On site, safety at work will be demonstrated using a variety of dangerous situations and practice-oriented solutions.

BG BAU and its partners will show how pre-assembly on the ground can help to prevent accidents from falls: from pre-fabrication of roof elements on the assembly line through to placement on the house with the help of the crane. Thanks to VR glasses, visitors to the stand can also immerse themselves in a virtual 360° environment and test their knowledge of safe pre-assembly.

ZVDH President Dirk Bollwerk, said: “We’re ready for the summer and also for the trade fair! Finally, we can talk face to face with people again, touch materials and try out devices.

“DACH+HOLZ International in Cologne will show what it can do: bring together like-minded people, present innovations that address issues of the time such as climate protection, occupational health and safety and green building. In short: ensure a great atmosphere, but at the same time convey the necessary knowledge so that our roofing companies can work even more safely tomorrow and be up to date with the latest news from the sector. I look forward to welcoming you to our joint stand!”
