A FUNDRAISING team from Easy-trim are set to journey across Europe from Reims in the French Alps across to Lake Como in Italy, in a ‘just about’ road legal car.
The four day ‘Pavestone Rally’ will take place next month (September 2019) and aims to raise funds for three charities; the Rainy Day Trust, Variety the Children’s Charity and the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The Teenage Cancer Trust is particularly close to the team’s hearts after one of their own, Graeme
Thow Area Sales Manager for Scotland, was given the devastating news that his 15-year-old son was suffering from two cancerous brain tumours early last year. Having undergone a number of surgeries and intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments, Keiran battled through it and is now in remission.
Easy-trims rally team consists of Becky Mcgranaghan and Kimberley Hargreaves from the marketing department and Rob Negus National Sales Manager. They said they are very much looking forward to the challenge and are keen to raise as much funds as possible: “We’re fully prepared for the behind the wheel high-jinks, but there’s a very serious cause here. What Graeme and his family have been through is just awful and anything that the girls and I can do to help others in similar situations is absolutely worth it.”
