THE LATEST Institute of Roofing (IoR) Associate Course is set to begin in Edinburgh on the 18 March. The five-day course is almost completely funded for participants and there are a few places left to book.
The first IoR course was completed in Preston in February, hosted by the North West Roof Training Group.
The course was declared an outstanding success by delegates attending, with overall ratings as informative: 83%, and as enjoyable: 91%.
Course facilitator, Denise Cherry said, “This is a very interactive and enjoyable course with delegates working well together, sharing knowledge and experiences and leading to excellent outcomes.”
The new and innovative course includes self-study through videos, presentations and other online resources and group sessions to explore concepts and embed knowledge. The modules cover: Support and Standards, Roof Safety, Law, Finance, Terminology, Design and Specification, Systems, Surveying and Estimating, Tendering and Procurement, Project Management, Conservation and Sustainability.
The course in Edinburgh is being hosted by the Independent Roof Training Group in Scotland.
