NHBC HAS APPOINTED a new head of health and safety, Scott Manton.
Scott will have overall responsibility for leading NHBC’s health & safety services and the health, safety and well being of colleagues working for the organisation.
Before joining NHBC, Scott worked with a number of residential developers and has built up a range of experiences across a number of complex and mixed-use development sites.
Scott said: “I am looking forward to working with the team in the coming year to strengthen the services NHBC provides to the industry and positioning NHBC as the leading voice for health and safety within the home building sector.
“We really do have a great opportunity to support the amazing work that is being done by house builders, in regard to the management of Health, Safety and Wellbeing and continue to influence the unrelenting pursuit of a safer future.”
Expansion in health and safety
The council believes Scott’s industry knowledge will serve to support it with the planned growth of its health and safety division.
Neil Jefferson, NHBC’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “Good health and safety practices are vital in construction, and NHBC is committed to raising the standards across the board.
“It’s an exciting time in the business and we are pleased that Scott has chosen to join our team while we continue to grow to be the UK’s industry leading health and safety provider.”
