Private Equity Firm Acquires Alwitra

ALWITRA, a German company that provides products for flat roofing projects has been acquired by Naxicap Partners, a French private equity firm, for an undisclosed amount.

Alwitra was acquired from current owner, Joachim Gussner for an undisclosed sum as the transaction is still subject to merger control clearances. Joachim will continue to support Alwitra’s operations in an advisory role. Alwitra’s current directors and managers will likewise remain in position.

Founded in 1964, Alwitra is a market leader in Germany for plastic roofing and sealing membranes for flat roofs. The company generates an annual turnover of around €80m and has around 300 employees at its two main facilities in Trier and Hermeskeil.

Naxicap plans to expand Alwitra’s future growth by strengthening its international presence.
