Roofgiant Celebrates 400% Increase in Revenue in 6 months as Market Share Grows

AFTER ENTERING the market in October 2018, online merchant Roofgiant is celebrating another record 6 months as revenue has risen 400% year on year.

Backed by significant investment, Roofgiant launched with a simple goal in mind – to become one of the top online roofing supplies merchants in the UK.

Since their website launched in autumn 2018, Roofgiant has added significantly to its online catalogue, now offering over 25,000 products to customers. This includes household brands such as VELUX, Freefoam and Ariel, alongside industry heavyweights, Marley and Redland.


Such has been the increase in turnover in a short space of time, Roofgiant has expanded its sales team dealing with online enquiries and is now open from 8am each weekday to cater more to customers’ needs.

Paul Allsop, Operations Manager, said: “We had high expectations when we entered the market, but the last six months have beaten all of our projections. The fact that we’ve been able to quickly add to our offering with high quality products has meant that we can reach potential customers sooner than we’d hoped.”

Roofgiant has also been working on a number of initiatives to help them stand out in the market, including a useful VELUX window selector which helps customers find the window they need for their project.

Cut to size

They can also offer cast or rolled lead flashing from Midland Lead and BLM that’s cut to customers’ size requirements, as well as cut to size EPDM from Firestone and ClassicBond.

Paul added: “We’re really pleased with what we’ve achieved over the last 6 to 12 months, but we know this is just the beginning. We’ve got a lot of great ideas coming in the next six months, and we are working with new suppliers to increase our product range even further.”
