A ROOFING AND CLADDING company hopes to raise up to £100,000 for charity with a football tournament dominated by roofing firms.
Seven contractors, including five from the roofing sector, have already signed up and pledged £6,000 each for the Construction Industry Trophy for 2020, which will raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust and The Outward Bound Trust.
The seven companies pledging for charity are:

- Ifield & Barrett
- Inspire Contracts
- ICE Roofing & Cladding
- MAC Roofing & Contracting
- Alumasc Plc
The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity that helps young people learn and grow through outdoor pursuits and courses, while the Teenage Cancer Trust supports young people through cancer treatment and beyond.
The event is organised by building envelope consultants and leak detection specialists, RAM Building Consultancy which is also covering all of the event’s costs.
Premier league experience
The event is being held at Selhurt Park and will also be attended by 1978 World Cup winners, Ossie Ardiles and Ricky Villa, plus Sky Sports’ Matt Lorenzo.
Fabio and Sven lokkalikes whill also be on hand to offer coaching advice.
Twelve slots for teams are available with seven-a-side teams playing 80 minutes each, with qualified FA Match Officials, professional photography and a charity auction and raffle.
