The Single Ply Roofing Association has announced that IKO Polymeric will be Headline Sponsor for SPRA Events in 2019.

Competition for Headline Sponsor was very strong this year with Bauder Ltd, Gradient, IKO Polymeric and SFS Group Fastening Technology Ltd all wanting the top slot. The only fair way was to hold a draw! Bill Hill, CEO of the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity made the draw before presenting on Mental Health at the SPRA Member Workshop held on the 9th of October at the NEC.

Stuart Turnbull, National Sales Manager for IKO Polymeric said, “We are delighted to be SPRA Headline Sponsor for 2019. We see SPRA membership as a key element of our business as it demonstrates our commitment to high standards and quality. It’s also important to us that we give something back to the single ply industry and support the excellent work that SPRA does on our behalf.”

Such is their support, that Bauder, Gradient and SFS, although not successful in getting Headline Sponsor, have all chosen to take Gold sponsorship. Sika Ltd and Ejot Ltd has also taken Gold sponsorship which has already sold out in this category!

Danosa, which is Headline Sponsor for this year, is continuing its support and is joining Building Innovation and Brett Martin Daylight Systems who have all taken Silver sponsorship for 2019. With Tata Steel and Sundolitt both taking Bronze sponsorship, the prospect of selling out in both Silver and Bronze categories is on the cards.

SPRA has also confirmed that MSA Latchways have snapped up the SPRA Award for Safe Working, Recticel has taken the SPRA Award for Best New Build, Build Innovation has taken the SPRA Award for Best Innovation, Tata Steel has claimed the SPRA Award for Sustainability and CSCS has taken the SPRA Trainee and Trainer Awards. That only leaves the SPRA Award for Best Detailing to be claimed. All of the Golf Awards have already been taken too, with Danosa bagging Best Par 3 and Longest Drive, Tata Steel taking Best Individual, Recticel taking Straightest Drive and OMG taking Nearest the Pin. SPRA will be awarding the prize for Best Golf Team.

Cathie Clarke, SPRA CEO said, “I am completely blown away by the level of support we have already received for next year. It shows that the hard work of the SPRA team to increase SPRA and our members’ profiles throughout the industry and our efforts to improve quality, productivity and sustainability through education, influence and support across the sector are recognised and appreciated”.

Cathie went on to say, “I would like to personally thank all those mentioned for their continued support – it is by working together like this that we have the biggest impact and can influence best practice and high standards”.

SPRA holds two national events each year: the SPRA Conference and Awards Dinner which is open to all, and the SPRA Golf Day which is for members and their guests. Both events have grown over the last few years, and SPRA will be celebrating its 5th Conference and Awards birthday in 2019.

If you would like to join the SPRA sponsors, there are still a handful of packages available for 2019. More details of this and the SPRA fifth birthday conference & SPRA Awards Dinner being held on 13th of June at Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire can be found on the SPRA website. Keep the day free, bookings will be open very soon!
