The Weight is Over for Russell Roof Tiles Team

Kind-hearted, weight-losing Russell Roof Tiles employees, can once again indulge in some well-deserved Christmas mince pies after shredding the pounds and raising £800 for local charities.

The roof tile manufacturer’s sponsored weight loss challenge saw 10 employees set a goal at the start of November to lose 100lbs between them.

During the challenge, Russell Roof Tiles held regular weigh-ins and after seven weeks, the results were in. In total, 111lbs had been lost between the group, with the biggest loser, Sales Executive for the North West, Gordon McKinnon, losing 15lbs.

The money raised through the challenge’s sponsorship will contribute to Russell Roof Tiles’ Community Fund – a communal pot of funds for local charities and groups to support the work their work. Some of the organisations to benefit include Dumfries and Galloway Blood Bikes, Staffordshire. Shropshire. Cheshire Blood Bikes, and Mona Allotments in Burton.

Andrew Hayward, Managing Director at Russell Roof Tiles, said, “This challenge has been our final push for 2018 to raise as much as we can for our Community Fund. I’m impressed by the hard work of our employees and the money they have been able to raise.

“We are incredibly proud to be able to support our local charities and raise much-needed funds, which goes a long way in providing vital funds in the community.”
