PHIL TENNEY has been appointed as the Travis Perkins Group’s new Chief Information and Technology Officer, starting in early 2021.
Phil will sit on the Group Leadership Team, reporting directly to CEO Nick Roberts. He comes with a strong track record in digital transformation and modernisation developed during his senior roles. These are across a number of sectors including retail (most recently Asda), banking (HBOS and Lloyds Banking Group) and professional services (Accenture).
Digital infrastructure investment
As the construction industry continues to adapt in response to the coronavirus pandemic, Travis Perkins plc, the owner of businesses including the Travis Perkins general merchant, Toolstation, Wickes, BSS, CCF, Keyline and a number of other plumbing & heating businesses, have been transforming its use of technology. This is by investing in its digital infrastructure, to improve transactional web-based platforms and other capabilities.
