Ten member companies have signed up to the professional drone training course taking place near Chorley, Lancs., in early July.
Organised by the NWRTG’s Training Officer, and supported financially by the Group, the Course consists of two days ground school, with participants being required to prepare and submit their operations manual, finally taking the flight test at Euxton, near Chorley and achieving permission to commercially operate from the CAA in the UK. NWRTG wishes to promote the use of drones in our industry as they can help to save lives and cut costs.
A further 10 member companies will be able to benefit from a similar initiative later this year, when the Group will support members wishing to participate in the Institute of Roofing (IoR) course which requires 5 days classroom workshops (1 day per every 2 weeks), plus approximately 40-60 hours of home study. The Institute is the only UK body which represents professionals engaged in the UK roofing industry. Reserve your place now: firstname.lastname@example.org.
